What does it mean when an EPA Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Warning
Sign is posted in the greenhouse?

The EPA Worker Protection Standard (WPS) mandates that areas treated with a pesticide be clearly marked with an approved WPS Warning Sign (see figure at right). If the greenhouse room or area you work in has been treated and is marked by a WPS Warning Sign, you are not to enter the marked area until the Re-Entry Interval (REI) for the pesticide used has expired. The REI is a 4, 12 or 24 hour (or longer) period as stated on the pesticide's label. During the REI, only workers wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (as stated on the pesticide's label) are allowed to enter the treated area. WPS Warning Sign
